A Renovation Timeline :: Part 2 :: July 2016
“We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us.”
– Winston Churchill
As our new offices came together, we had the pleasure of working with talented local professionals who brought our vision for a light-filled, vintage-meets-modern collaborative work space to life.
Eric Monroe, Principal and Senior Architect at TSP (architecture // engineering // design) in Rapid City, has a keen mind for all aspects of building engineering and design – and a hip personal sense of style, too, in our collective opinion. He is an avid outdoorsmen with a penchant for scientific discovery; when he’s not planning thoughtful building projects or ‘gone fishing,’ he roasts his own coffee beans at home in an attempt to craft the perfect cup. He also pours a wicked concrete countertop. Eric brought his experience and expertise to our project and proved to be an expert listener, as well. His team combined our ideas and their elite level of knowledge to create a brilliant space well-suited to our needs and tastes.
Stephen Burgess, Vice President of Operations at Dean Kurtz Construction, led the team responsible for all brick-and-mortar aspects of the building project as general contractor. Dean Kurtz is a family-owned company, and the dedication to excellence embraced by every member of the team was evident from the beginning. From a strong foundation to the nuts-and-bolts of the ultra cool exposed beams overhead, their attention to detail inspired confidence in this project and the final result. We were thrilled with their progress along the way, and appreciative of their on-time delivery as promised. Dean Kurtz Construction shares our own commitment to the greater Black Hills community, evidenced by their support of local organizations including Children’s Home Society and Rapid City Club for Boys. Thumbs way up from us, Dean Kurtz.
As a reference point for the fine work of these two gentleman and the organizations they represent, we can’t wait to invite you to tour our office at 329 Main Street.
We think you’re gonna like it!
